Who we are

DERIVQ LIMITED, trading as ASYM Capital (“we”, “us”, “our”), is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. This means we decide why and how it is used.

The personal data we collect

The contact form

When you send an enquiry through the contact form on our website, we collect:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your company, if you choose to give it
  • the type of enquiry you select
  • your message and anything you include in it.

The form delivers these details to our mailbox and sends an automatic acknowledgement to the email address you give.

If the website cannot send the email, your own email app opens with a pre-filled message addressed to contact@asymcapital.uk. We receive that message only if you choose to send it. Once sent, it is treated in the same way as any other email you send us.

Emails and phone calls

If you email or phone us directly, we receive the contact details you use, such as your name, email address or phone number, and the information you give us in your email or during the call.

Technical data

When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes the technical data needed to deliver pages to your device and to protect the site. This includes your IP address and details of each request, such as the page requested and the time of the request, which are recorded in the hosting provider’s server logs.

When you submit the contact form, we also use your IP address to limit the number of submissions that can be made from the same address. This helps prevent abuse of the form.

Whether you have to give us personal data

You are not required by law or by contract to give us personal data. The contact form needs your name, email address and a message so that we can reply, and it cannot be sent without them. You can contact us by email or phone instead.

Please do not include special category data (for example, information about your health, religious beliefs or political opinions) or information about criminal convictions in your message. We do not need it to respond to an enquiry.

How we use your personal data

We use personal data only for the purposes below. UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each of them.

Data used
Technical data, including your IP address.

Our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable website (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not use enquiries sent through the contact form to send marketing.

We do not rely on your consent for the uses described in this policy. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data, and we share it only as described below.

We use two service providers, which process personal data on our behalf to provide their services to us:

  • Cloudflare hosts the website, delivers its content, provides security services, keeps the server logs and sends the emails created when you use the contact form (your enquiry to us and the acknowledgement to you).
  • Fastmail hosts our @asymcapital.uk mailbox, where your enquiry and any emails you send us are received and stored.

We may also disclose personal data to regulators, law enforcement agencies, courts or other public authorities where the law requires us to do so.

International transfers

Our service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by the safeguards that UK data protection law requires. You can contact us for details of these safeguards and, where applicable, a copy of them.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet legal and regulatory obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it.

How we protect it

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration and disclosure. The website, including the contact form, is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
